As a gateway between Eastern and Western film cultures, Sydney Film School has a growing community of international students and maintains strong international relations with schools, practitioners and film institutions around the world.

Each semester the SFS Festival highlights one region from around the world. Till this date the Sydney Film School Festival has screened nine short films from nine international film schools including those from Denmark, China, Croatia, Singapore, Japan, France, Thailand, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

The 11th SFS Festival turns the spotlight on Greece, to celebrate the achievements of emerging Greek filmmakers and to expose the audience to contemporary Greek film culture through the work of this young and upcoming filmmaker.

As a special feature of the graduation night, continuing its collaboration with international film schools, the SFS Festival will screen the 17 minute drama ‘Oblivion' directed by Gabriel Tzafka, a postgraduate student at the Film School of the Thessaloniki Aristotle University in Greece.
